Akaissa stared into the crackling fire, the steam from her mug of hot cocoa slowly rising in front of her muzzle. Her lavender eyes stared contemplatively at the fire as she considered everything that had happened. So much had changed in eight years and yet she could not deny the world seemed a better place. A world had died that night and despite the new forms, the new bodies, and the massive die offs and loss of technology, life still went on in the shadow of a titan whose dream shattered the world. So many new friends, so many memories, and new gifts like her magic.
She turned a bit as she heard the door open and offered a gentle smile at them.
