Description

After hearing about Miss Blackthorne's plight of needing some key ingredients and the lack of coin to procure such things, Lletywr decided to take a quick stroll through the surrounding areas. While she (or it) couldn't exactly pick the herbs by claw or hand, her teeth managed well enough. It wasn't until her way back that the sound of bandits resting at a campfire drew the cysgwerin in. The beady, white pupils of light stared long at the few beastfolk, peering from afar but just close enough to give an accidental spook.

Her glowing eyes had alerted one of the bandits who tried kicking his friends awake in a haste. Of course, Lletywr was gone when he looked back. Nothing to see. Maybe it was just his own fatigue playing tricks on him. After all, who would dare try to sneak up on an armed group of angry robbers? Ah, but the sack of shiny coins could lure anyone out. Even a simple, idling monster. Lletywr had learned things from the witch in her short time with her. Patience was something that rewarded well, though the witch may have been a little hasty in some instances. It would take longer to grab the coin and run but it was feasible.

Waiting until the bandit's eyes shut for only a moment, Lletywr's shadow stalking slipped her by the bandit and nabbed the bag into her maw. The sound was enough to bring all of the beastfolk up from any slumber. The shadowy ethereal body stood above them all, looking down with their prize dangling from its teeth as if to taunt them and try taking it. Lletywr didn't move. Couldn't move. But there was no worry. At least, not from her.

It was a slow wind up but the screams of the men rose in unison as they laid eyes on the black mass of a body and runic skull. They ran in all directions but hers. One of them tripped into the fire, snuffing it out instantly as he scrambled away. The living were always so interesting. It was quite the feat to scare the wits out of a rugged group just merely existing next to them. To the true matter at hand, Lletywr now had both items in possession. Herbs and coin would be a great gift to her bond even if she knew little of the herbs themselves.

Slipping through the land and making it home in what seemed like an instant, the skull slid neatly onto the table behind Lilian, dragging the bag of loot along with it. The witch stopped her writing and placed her quill down. An inquisitive look sprouted on her face before she smiled. Gently, the witch pried the jaws open and took the bag as she looked it over then glanced to Lletywr. She made mention that while it wasn't the herbs she needed, the coin would be more than enough to get them. The herbs that were gathered could still be used in several recipes as well.

"You did good!" Lilian praised the skull as those small, white orbs peered up at her. "Good girl!" she said and gave a few soft pats to the hard forehead over the runes.

Lletywr liked that.
