"My Favorite Mornings" Digital painting, CSP.
As a holiday gift last December, I gave my partner Eld a "commission" of whatever he wanted, and he asked for a new PC desktop wallpaper of our sonas! So I've been working on this since last December for him.
Our favorite times together are sitting outside in the mornings during nice weather, seeing all our neighborhood birds and bugs, and generally enjoying nature. So in this painting, I included a very lichen covered branch from one of our black cherry trees, and a few of our local wildlife species, including a flock of local crows, a red-breasted nuthatch, a black-capped chickadee, a ruby-crowned kinglet, a perplexing bumblebee, and a banded tussock moth (which hosts on black cherry trees).
