Azura the Broadcaster Unicorn
Azura Ruisselante the Broadcaster Unicorn is the mascot I designed for AzuraCast, a free and open source web radio station suite. Her name is French, meaning “blue stream”.
AzuraCast’s history goes back to Ponyville Live, a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic community broadcasting project. To highlight her MLP roots, I designed her as a unicorn with studio headphones, a microphone on her horn, and speakers on her back. I chose black fur because it looks cool and drawing a full black character properly was a minor personal goal at the time. Her flowing blue long hair symbolizes her namesake (Ruisselante = Streaming = AzuraCast’s purpose).
There was also an anthropomorphic version of her, but I later found the design unappealing and inconsistent with Azura’s calm character. So it was removed.
Azura’s a color scheme and her personality makes her one of my favorite character. I was not quite satisfied with the 2018 version. I might draw her again in the future – being a “brony” back in the days and all that.

电台主持独角兽青青溪水
电台主持独角兽青青溪水 (Azura Ruisselante，法语：青青溪水，发音“阿祖拉-卢依色陇”) 是我为自由开源网络电台软件 AzuraCast (字面意思：蔚蓝广播) 设计的吉祥物 。
AzuraCast 脱胎自彩虹小马 (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) 社区主导的 Ponyville Live (小马镇直播) 网络电台软件项目，所以我刻意在设计中强调了彩虹小马的要素，把她设计成了一匹头戴耳机，角挂麦克风，背负音箱的独角兽。她的黑色毛色源于我当时正在努力画好纯黑脸的尝试。蓝色的长发是网络直播的 Streaming (媒体推流) 的“溪流”转义，也是青青溪水名字的由来。
本来还有一张兽人风格图，不过我后来觉得造型有点过于造作，不符合青青溪水稳重的调性，所以就不发了。
青青溪水的配色和气质深得我心，日后说不定会把她用到个人的作品里当配角。2018 年的时候其实画得不太令人满意，说不定以后还会重画这个角色——毕竟我也曾经是一个“马迷”。
