About almost a year ago, I got curious on “The Wayback Machine”. Being a furry and using this site often, I put it in. I went back to 2007 (the year is started) and instead of the hexagonal post counter nowadays, it was a counter of these adorable little characters (see the character tag for old ss of the site). After plugging in the image into a new tab, I found the site (and this character’s name) they belonged to; Downsy.net.
Plugging that into the Wayback Machine… wasn’t pretty. All of the characters images were wiped, all but 2 comic pages remained, and it was rough. Most if not everything regarding this character is lost. Including their creator, Mellis.
Their “wikiFur” page is locked, and hasn’t been updated since September 2010. They supposedly were the co-creator of this site, and a few others before it (WTFur, lulz.net, and was a mod on sidechan).
So, if any mods that are active since 2007 or any new mods who want to send this post to them, please do. I’ve going insane trying to find anything on this adorable munchkin and its creator.
