We're a little late, I know, but I've been busy! Cons and life and oh, I was prepping for a long time getting ready to host a Hatsune Miku panel at MAGFest, one of the biggest video game conventions in the US! It was SO MUCH fun and I loved the response from everyone. Being able to fill a panel room and talk about Miku with people for an hour absolutely is one of the coolest things in the world. A parent came up to me afterwards and said I had finally helped them understand the thing their kid was always going on about ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
ANYWAY! MESMERIZER!!!! Shoutouts to Satsuki for the amazing milestone, Mesmerizer currently holds the record for the fastest Vocaloid song to hit 100m views on YT, doing so in around 6mo. It's the second Miku song to hit 100m after Aishite, Aishite (by Kikuo) and the sixth overall behind Young Girl A (Powapoa-P / Rin), ECHO (Crusher / GUMI), Goodbye Declaration (Chinozo / Flower), Kyoufuu All Back (Yukopi / Kaai Yuki) and the aforementioned Aishite, Aishite.
The song has been an amazing hit, and (unfortunately) spawned a ton of immitators and others trying to attempt to catch the same virility by over-saturating things with Miku & Teto duets. This list doesn't include Odochina though, that song is very clearly a big inspo from 1, 2 Fanclub (MikitoP) but just features the teal and red ones.
