Description

Old canal

"The remnants of an ancient canal lie in the forest, from here the canal continues south, way, way south, to a city that doesn't exist anymore. The river itself terminates before it reaches the actual city, thanks to being overgrown in many parts. All manner of animal come to its banks to bathe and drink. Some more mysterious than others.

Mysterious? Those are called "Draggos". To us they are akin to the gnomes of Alluvia. Causing all sorts of petty mischief, remaining unseen to all except to children and adults who have an open mind to see them. They aren't invisible, mind you, they are just so unimportant that we just are unable to perceive them, forgetting they exist the second our gaze shifts away. They live everywhere, in the forest, in your home, in the sauna, in the pool in your toilet. And they demand a certain amount of respect. Keep places clean, don't fell trees that need not be felled and leave the sauna on for a few minutes after you leave. Doing these kinds of things will ensure they remain happy with you.

So if you see a fish has disappeared from your hook or that there are holes in your cheese or that your beverage becomes cool altogether too quickly, you might have upset the draggos."
