Gift of The Knight #1 - Reveal
It had felt like a lifetime since Aquarius had passed through Ironheardt. However, with the Dragonlords forces ramping up attacks in the area, they had called to his order for help. Having already spent several weeks stationed, the young knight Aquarius traversed the village hall, as his mentor Noriko was busy conversing with the village chief. That was when something caught his eye, or rather, someone...“It’s been a long time, Aquarius...” a soft, melodic voice said to him. He turned around, and he saw her. A red dragon woman, clad in heavy robes. Her name was Sharasai, she was... familiar with the young knight, as many moons ago, when he was critically injured she had offered him shelter. They had grown close that night... in quite a physical way. His stay, however, had to end eventually, and he left for the open road yet again...“Sharasai? Is that you?” he inquired, his eyes widening...She simply smiled her warm smile. “It is indeed... it’s good to see you again.”He returned the smile. “The feeling is mutual. How have you been?” he asked. She paused for a moment, before answering. “It has been... long and hard, but I am well, Aquarius...” Her expression softened... “I have missed you..” she said, softly and warmly, with a hint of longing in her voice.Aquarius’s expression softened with heartache, hearing her burdened with loneliness. “I... I’ve missed you, Sharasai. I missed your company, your kindness...”A genuine smile crept across her face, as she looked up to him, with a hint of mischief in her eyes. “Did you also miss... my touch?~” she purred, to him...The knight’s eyes widened, and a warm, pink blush blossomed on his pale white scaled face. He cleared his throat, trying to cut through the awkwardness.“Well... um... I...” he stammered, as she simply chuckled.“It’s fine, Aquarius... I’ve missed your touch as well. Those strong, protective hands across my body...” she answered, her voice low and husky, dripping with desire...It had been far too long since Aquarius could enjoy the pleasures of the flesh, spending so long training and fighting, that he had almost forgotten what it was like...“Well, my dear... These strong, protective hands are free to roam said body yet again...” he replied, with a noticeable lilt of hunger in his voice, and most definitely in his eyes. He watched her smile grow yet again...“Come with me, then, my dear Knight... I do also have something to show you...” she replied, her voice sweet and comforting. It would be a while before Noriko would be done with the village chief, so Aquarius did have... time to spare, so to speak...Entering her domain, the memories all came back quickly to him. Of his injuries, of her kindness, of her embrace... There was a comforting warmth that washed over him...“Would you be so kind as to turn around, my dear knight, while I disrobe?” she asked, politely yet teasingly. Aquarius quietly chuckled to himself with a smirk, as he gladly complied, turning around and removing his armor and clothing, pulling off each piece carefully until he was in nothing but his undergarments.“So... what is it you wished to sho-”He froze. His teal eyes widened. His heart stopped beating. In front of him, in front of the firelight, stood his caretaker and, dare he say, lover... Pregnant. He should have known this would happen... He knew the answer, yet he still felt compelled to ask.“Are... are they...” He stammered...“Yes, Aquarius... they are yours,” she answered, warmth in her voice. She felt a gentle kick in her and placed a hand on her belly. “Easy now, little one...”Aquarius felt his heart pound like a drum, as though it could rip its way out of his chest. He slowly stepped forward, gently placing a single hand on her swollen belly. It was... warm, like a gentle flame. Inside, he felt the child shift about, pressing against his hand...“He recognizes his father...” Sharasai said, with a smile...Feeling his unborn son react to his touch, Aquarius’s hand trembled... He felt a tear well up in his eye...“I...I had... no idea...” he struggled to say, trying to hold back a wave of tears...Sharasai gently cradled his head, quietly running her fingers across his scalp... “It’s okay... it’s okay...”Aquarius struggled to steady his breathing, to calm his heart, yet despite his strongest efforts, the tears flowed like rivers across his scales. “H-how... soon until...”“Days,” she answered, calmly.Days... the word echoed in his mind over and over again... days until his child, his son, would take his first breaths... He knew his time in Ironheardt would be short, but his honor, his heart told him to stay... long enough for his son to see his father...
