Description
I never would have guessed, three years ago, where this comic would end up, or how much I'd put into it.
It's crazy, looking back and comparing the last few pages to the first dozen or so. Seeing what's improved, and what's remained consistent. Some of it can be chalked up to "it was only meant to be a doodle," but that's definitely not true for all of it. It's equal parts damning and encouraging to see places where I know I was trying my hardest, at the time, and to know how much better I could do them, now. I reckon that's just the nature of these things; it's important for things to be finished and done, even if not perfect - and it's important to have grown along the way.
This comic has been my on-and-off backburner project for a long time, and it has been tremendously encouraging that so many of you guys enjoyed it, too. It was real easy, at first, to worry that all the goofy dialogue and cheesy coddling wouldn't fly well. It's nice and it's meaningful to me that I'm not the only one who's into that sort of thing.
I do intend to upload a few last bits for this: mostly the some of the isolated loops, and maybe a little title page if I'm feeling spicy. Apart from that, though, I'm happy to say that this is a wrap, and with the art itch scratched, I'm gonna jump back to cleaning up R2MP for a little while.
I'm sure, however, that I'll eventually jump back and do more comic work. I really, really enjoy the format, and I know there's definitely at least one or two little stories like this one I'd love to tell. (Truthfully, a huge motivating factor in finishing this comic is that there's another I'm excited to start on.)
Fekkri will definitely be back - the next comic will likely focus on him and Arvie, with a couple cameos along the way. And who knows! Maybe Mustard will swing on by for a little bit, too. <3
Bless his idiot soul. I love him.
