The Executioner's Paintbrush

----
Upon seeing the dragon bound in chains before them, the executioners knew they had a prime specimen, the toughest sort of prisoner, one they could strike as many times as they wanted. He gazed back towards them, anticipating the worst, maintaining his submissive body language and resting against the whipping post in relative silence. There was even a little debate among them as to who gets the honors of breaking this beast; the victor channeled his passion into a sort of art, wildly flinging the strips of his flagrum at the victim's back. Pieces of metal, glass, and bone opened all manner of deep lacerations in the demon's hide, tearing into the flesh, embedding themselves in the muscle, before shredding sinew as they are violently ripped out of his body. The subservient male did his best to hold back the urge to vocalize, but the overwhelming surges of sensation made such an effort futile; many deep, roaring screams escaped his maw during this savage punishment. The torturer grew exhausted from his work soon enough, leaving the scene to go and rest, but not before mutilating his captive's body all over with mortal wounds, and leaving the back a gory mess. This would not be an end to the agony, however; since the dragon is still breathing, and able to walk, those remaining in the detachment are to bring him outside the city and put the "artist's work" on display. His capacity for rational thought hanging on by a thread, the dragon now wordlessly allows his executioners to take each arm and lead him to his end ...

An absolutely stunning piece by Sovierdas, thank you so much for everything you've put into this.
