I originally contacted stoopix about a possible commission back in August of ’11. He was open to the idea, but was backed up so had to be waitlisted.
Contacted him again around late June/early July to see where I was. …And the rest is pretty much history. He was revising his commission .pdf around that time and sent me the updated version. I didn’t need a full background so I went with Option 3 – and am very glad I did. It was EXACTLY what these two characters needed. I had high expectations, and he pummeled my brain with the sheer brilliance of the final piece. I feel like everything came together really nicely in this piece.
He hadn’t gotten the chance to draw many humans, but I knew it would turn out okay. But, ‘okay’ was an understatement on my part as well. The colors, the posing, the expressions, the lighting, everything turned out awesome. If you aren’t watching him, what is WRONG with you?? (Check that guy out, yo.)
