Topic: Sonic implications

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Just tried to tidy posts mistagged with sonic_the_hedgehog instead of sonic_(series) and discovered that there are some implication issues.

nicole_the_lynx and bokkun both imply sonic_the_hedgehog instead of sonic_(series) so I've just accidentally made the problem a little worse before I noticed this. :(
I'll go back and fix them when the implications are corrected and continue the clean-up.

All the other characters seem to be fine though but we also need implications for some other characters.

So to summarize:

Remove implications:

nicole_the_lynx -> sonic_the_hedgehog
bokkun -> sonic_the_hedgehog

Add implications:

nicole_the_lynx -> sonic_(series)
bokkun -> sonic_(series)
marine_the_raccoon -> sonic_(series)
super_sonic -> sonic_(series)
metal_sonic -> sonic_(series)
sonic_the_werehog -> sonic_(series)
charmy_bee -> sonic_(series)
vector_the_crocodile -> sonic_(series)
espio_the_chameleon -> sonic_(series)
bunnie_rabbot -> sonic_(series)
antoine_d'coolette -> sonic_(series)

Whoops, that one was me. Maybe renaming it to sonic_(character) isn't such a bad idea after all. :/

Fixed and approved all implications. Thoughts on these?

Hmm, I'd say +1 for super_sonic and sonic_the_werehog as they are both actually forms of sonic.
I'm not sure about metal_sonic though as the normal metal_sonic is just a robot created by eggman.
hyper_metal_sonic (does not have it's own tag) though is a version of metal_sonic infused with data extracted from sonic himself and actually shares his thoughts and abilities.
The problem being that both are tagged simply as metal_sonic right now.

Edit: Ignore this comment, Granberia was better at memory. (see below)

I'm against any implications that looks like character -> specific_character (I'm not against implications to umbrela tags like fan_character) Either it should be treated as separate character tag, or alias it and use other tags to modify your search. So...

To be honest I would alias super_sonic -> sonic_the_hedgehog or we're going to make separate character tag for every form of sayians in dragon ball.

I'm not into sonic fandom but even I know that metal_sonic is totally different character that only looks similar to sonic.

I would either alias it so people can use sonic_the_hedgehog werehog instead, or keep it separate like link_(wolf_form) because it's popular and significantly different (species change). Implication is bad for the same reason we are about to remove mega evolution implications.

Thanks for reminding me of this one; I'll take care of those right now.

I concur.
If the alternate forms look distinct enough to be easily recognizable (such as Sonic the Werehog or wolf Link), then it'd be best to tag them separately.

Not sure what to do with simple palette swaps such as Super Sonic, though...
