The principle of least surprise says "hell no". If I'm looking for humans and find centaurs (without at least one human in the image), I'm going to be fucking astonished. And angry.

They already imply horse and taur. They are horse/human hybrids. Looking for horse and suddenly you see a half-human, would you be "fucking astonished and angry"? no, because you know they're half-horse. Common sense there.
