Topic: Tag alias: blueberry5959 -> blueberry_(artist)

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I think this a good alias. Blueberry_(artist) has been in use on e621 for 15 years. The wiki page for Blueberry_(artist) has a link to the Blueberry5959 X.com site already.

Sometimes, when an artist's name is a commonly used word like "Blueberry," it might make more sense to go in the other direction. But in this case, the artist has used that name for a very long time, so I think we should let them keep their preferred name.

after looking into the artist, then yes this is a good alias
i can only assume that the number version is just a twitter autosuggestion for 'username taken, try this variant'
all of their other sources just use blueberry

Never did I think I'd see "TurnAround Time" on E621 but here we are

The time an AIBUR takes to be handled varies from hours to years, best you've got is hopes and prayers it gets handled in a decent amount of time

Yeah, you did it correctly. Now you would just have to be patient and wait until an admin processes this request, which may take a few days or be stuck in the queue for months.

What's the post that's been in the queue the longest?

Is there a "burn from both ends" strategy to make the administrator pay attention to the posts that have been waiting in the queue the longest?This can at least shorten the waiting time while keeping the processing speed unchanged.

That depends on which type. AIBUR requests (i.e., alias, implication, and bulk update requests) can be stuck there for years.

If you want to know the longest artist alias request currently in the queue, it is topic #43393 which was posted back on March 2024, over a year ago.
You can also see the full list of pending artist alias requests here.

We already do that. Administrators aren't getting paid to do this and have actual lives to deal with. When they can, they are actually volunteering their free time to sort through the queue, that's why I said to be patient.

If something does gets lost in the queue for an extended period of time, you can try posting a link to the request on topic #43250 for it to get more exposure.
