One isn't a subset of the other. incest_(lore) should only be tagged when two or more family members are interacting sexually, while indirect_incest_(lore) is when the family members aren't interacting sexually with each other (thus not incest) but may be with the same character, so it's close.

I'm not sure I understand. If two family members are interacting with the same character sexually to where it would require the indirect_incest_(lore) tag, I don't see how they aren't involved in the same intercourse, therefore making it incest_(lore). The line where something is indirect_incest_(lore) but not incest_(lore) seems very blurry to me.

this is like saying two male characters getting handjobs from a female character are having sex with each other and therefore the post should be male/male.
if the related characters are not engaged in an act with each other it's not incest, that's pretty cut-and-dry.

It's not about being involved in "the same intercourse", but being involved with each other. Like if there's a threesome spitroast with a female being penetrated by two guys, one from behind and the other in front; it's not male/male despite two guys being involved with "the same intercourse" since they're not directly interacting with each other. If those two males were brothers, it wouldn't be incest just as wouldn't be male/male.

I'm not quite sure about that comparison, since male/male refers to, and I quote "homosexual, homoerotic, or homoromantic activities or behaviour between male characters.", while incest_(lore) is defined as "Any type of sexual act or romance between individuals who are genetically related (family)". I'd argue that both of your examples are sexual acts between those individuals, even if separated by a third character's involvement.

I don't really see how these are dissimilar, apart from the parties involved. other than the wording (mainly using "homo-", which seems kinda redundant to me, honestly) and the explicit inclusion of "erotic", they're the same parameters: sex/romance between males; sex/romance between relatives.

Two characters' activity being separated by a third character means it's not activity between the two.
