I don't understand business stuff very well, so maybe "co-creator" is accurate, but it feels weird to me. They were shareholders from the beginning, but I don't think they did much at first(?) Only once the games switched to 3D did Creatures get involved by making the official 3D models for the games. Feel free to correct me, since I don't know what I'm talking about.

I believe Creatures was responsible for designing at least some of the Pokemon from the beginning. Though as mentioned in the previous thread, it's all pretty confusing about who owns what, with The Pokemon Company managing the IP where the various ownership rights are otherwise tied up between Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures.

the copyright for pokemon is jointly owned by all three of Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc.
all three of them jointly established The Pokemon Company to manage it in '98 and an international version for outside of Asia in '09
so TPC owns nothing, theyre just the subsidized managers
