Sounds OK to me. Characters called "the Fox" and "the Cat" appear in the pre-Disney Pinocchio, but Disney created the characters named Gideon and Honest John / Foulfellow, as well as the rest (as far as I know).

FYI, I think you meant to link to Forum Topic 22271 but you actually linked to an old post that is unrelated to the topic.

An issue brought up in the older thread were to have both Figaro (Disney) and Jiminy Crickey both directly imply Disney since Pinocchio was just their debut in Disney media, going on to appear in non-Pinocchio related offerings throughout the years (Jiminy in roles like the host for I'm No Fool and Figaro as Minnie Mouse's cat). Also, I think the general preference expressed there was to get rid of the quotes in Honest John Foulfellow's name.
