Translation check is for posts that have been translated but need to be checked, the tags are distinct and no alias is needed

Also, you should read this help page on tag aliases

Just for the sake of clarity:

For all posts with non-English text, they are in 1 of 3 states of translation:

  • translation_request - The post has some non-English text that does not have notes translating it into English.
  • partially_translated - The post has non-English text & has notes translating some of it, but not all of it, into English.
    • All partially_translated posts also have translation_request.
  • translated - The post has non-English text & has notes translating all of it into English.

If partially_translated or translated the post might also have:

  • translation_check - The post has non-English text, has notes translating some or all of it into English, but the translation is suspected of being poor quality.
    • Basically, "This has a translation, but I think it's a bad translation that needs to be corrected."

If the original image had non-English text & an alternate version of the same image with translations to English was uploaded, in addition to some combination of the above tags, the edited version would have:

  • hard_translated - The post is an edited version of an image which translates the original text from a non-English language to English.
    • If this translated version was not created by the same person who made the original image, then it is also a 3rd party translation edit.
