Topic: Webm red warning label: Post still being processed.

Posted under General

Full red warning label: The video in this post is still being processed. It may take a few minutes to complete.
Playback on some devices may be affected.

This is on every webm post now even when the video loads perfectly fine. It's distracting a glaring red box right under the video it can't be hidden like the description can.

This red label wasn't on every video a week ago so why now?

It's shown on posts whose samples are still being generated
It's there because certain devices may not be able to play or show certain formats (*cough* apple *cough*) and without samples there may not be an available file they can play properly

That warning never showed to me before on any video a week ago now every webm video has it except the few MP4 or anim posts. It seems to coincide with the sudden UI changes.

I wish there was a way to hide that specific red warning. The video loads and plays normally that warning does not need to be there.

settings > advanced > CSS
paste:

.notice-flagged:has(.notice-pending-status) {display:none}

You're missing the point, it's there because it might not play correctly on some devices
It's likely there to cut down on the number of people flagging posts that won't play because they don't have samples

It's also a new feature so of course it didn't display some weeks ago

Most appreciated worked perfectly.

By doing this, you forfeit the right to complain if a post fails to load.
Especially since this issue had already been resolved.

Please make a pseudo legal Terms of Service that just says this so you can put it under any custom CSS script lmao

Considering that during the time all samples were being generated how many times I had to comment to iPhone users that their shit sucks and they need to wait for samples, was so high that I much rather have red warning box over every post being constantly flagged and having another kind of red box on the post.
