Recently I've been getting realy into early furry 3d renders and while most did not stand the test of time, they have a charm to them that imo makes them worth preserving. Would that kind of artwork be allowed in e621?

It would help to show some examples.
Typically, it does not matter how old an artwork is (e.g., post #4508467), we would want to look at whether or not it would reasonably fit within our Quality Standards guidelines given the year it was made.

Case-by-case basis
