This is a dynamax pokeball, but isn't being "used".

i don't see many of those examples being used, they just look like they're being held

In order for it to exist, the base form has to be used.
I'll reject this considering multi-post continuity, but it's important to note that the dynamax-ball does not actually exist, it's essentially a powered-up regular ball.

it could be a depiction of one on a pokeball pattern or something or it could be a replica/model of one (like exist in real life).
