Hi there, so I have posted something that someone has added "avoid_posting" to, and for the life of me, I don't know why. Other than the artist wanting it to not be added to the site, or something else I haven't seen or heard of yet- why can't I post his latest artwork to e621?

I accept deletion of this artwork, since I didn't realize before posting it that zeiros was on the list, but I at LEAST want to know why he is before it's done. ALSO, if someone can come over and delete this before one of the more ban-happy admins decide to issue a ban prematurely on my account over something as trivial as this, that would be GREATLY appreciated, as well X3

I understand that you have opened up a version of the site that features AI-generated work (e6ai.net). AI works are generated by using data scraped from preexisting artwork, most of which without the artists' consent or compensation. As such, I would like not to have any of my work associated with this site. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Wait, really? They DID that?! Okay, that makes more sense- no WONDER he doesn't want people posting art to this site- thank you SO much for making me aware of this! This is just utterly BAFFLING that they did this, and while it's understandable, given things as they are, I'm still annoyed that I'm JUST finding out about this site, and that I didn't even realize that UNTIL I posted that -_-

under duress, from what we staff heard it was either e6ai or ai content here, there was no other option upper management (BD) was willing to listen to

I see. Well either way, I fully understand why on both sides, but I would rather respect his wishes than get banned due to a misunderstanding on my part. If there's a way to delete or archive this, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could do that.

It's incredible that e621 went from being a stain on the Internet that no artist would go near to somewhere that artists actually wanted their art to be.

And then, BD decides to embrace something that artists overwhelmingly oppose. I imagine the only reason this isn't happening on a larger scale is e6AI being kept on the down-low for the most part.

If you flag your own post (click "Flag" on the image sidebar) you shouldn't be penalized.

Let's hope the staff agrees with that logic, but thanks for the help all the same X3

It's explicitly part of avoid posing

If you find you have posted DNP, flag it as soon as possible; you will not receive a record if you flag your own DNP post.

I think this thread has run its course.

At the end of the day, BD just wanted to see where the technology would go and what it could become. That doesn't mean they hate artists or expression, just that they wanted to not put down another group exploring something novel.
