that solo one with the drink was posted on furaffinity 3 years ago (May 30, 2022 12:53 PM) I dont think ai existed or was so readily available back then
the second couple says it was posted again on furaffinity one year ago (Jun 7, 2024 01:00 PM) and while ai existed I doubt it was that good back then

Artists getting called out in the forums is wild. You need something concrete if youre going to decry them as being some kind of art cheater.
If there's something obvious (like the background of post #4975831), point it out. Otherwise these sorts of call out posts are a bit much.
neither of those look ai, they just look like regular rendered pieces of art, there are none of the tell tale signs of AI and as fliphook pointed out the first one is 3 years old. AI 3 years ago could not make things that detailed back then.
their artwork has a consistent style and quality, I would doubt them having turned to AI based on their gallery.
it's good to check sources
even better to have them listed
That first one does have conspicuously inconsistent line work, if I'm being honest. Most of it has this kind of fur styling, seen mostly on the legs and right arm, but then the hands, and the leg and side of the abdoment (under her right breast), and part of the left leg have flat line work. Not sure that's enough to say it's AI-related or anything, but it is something that sticks out to me as odd if it was done by hand.
The hands and feet weird me out lol
To the untrained eye, that might be a red flag or sus
But I can't make that distinction. I think it's just a very particular humanization of anthros

the first one was made in may of 22, about a month before midjourney originally went into beta, and you could not do anything remotely close to that level of detail. stable diffusion lanched a few months after midjourney. so neither option was available at the time, or up to the level of detail seen in the post

I wasn't decrying anyone as a cheater - I literally said "Hey, I think this looks a bit sus, anyone else have any input?"
and now, as we can see, people will be scrutinizing this artist because of this forum

There's more to AI than full image generation like midjourney. e6 has had rules for years against AI upscalers or neural network edits, stuff to enlarge or add detail to existing images, things that have existed for far longer. Though as I said, I'm not sure there is anything AI-related in those images, but the line work does feel off about them to say they were drawn entirely by hand.

no I get that but even neural networks back then weren't to a point where you could do slight edits to them and make them look too good. I used to mess with petallica paint/ paintchainer for fun when ai generators weren't even around, and you had to do a lot of work to make them look slightly decent.
to me the artist's style seems like they know how to render and shade, but might have issues with anatomy, I feel like I see this a lot in Russian furry art styles for some reason.

The title is an accusation in the form of asking a question

The mere fact that you have attached their name on your first comment makes it a call out thread.
Google is going to index this page and when people google the artist's name and e621, it may suggest the thread titled "Artist switched to AI-generated works?"
Don't publicly call out or accuse artists of using AI to generate their artworks without concrete evidence.
Their whole livelihood could be from drawing art and having someone label them as "suspicious" would negatively impact their reputation.
If you have a "hunch", just flag the posts in question and the mods will investigate using their own judgment.
Otherwise, do your due diligence and gather some concrete evidence before calling people out publicly.

Thank you for this.

If I may interject, I have personally seen this kind of weird fur styling before since I have done it myself.
It is very likely the artist is using the "smudge tool" to simulate individual strands of fur, but have done some very messy work (or a stylistic choice) since it is not smudged consistently throughout and leaving parts of the body with flat line work.

Not to defend the op, but it seems that google doesn't give Forum specific results
Just searched "conquarts e621.net" and the most it gave was links to their posts

It does. For me, it is the first result on the second page.
Not the front page, but now it is permanently inked on Google results.

That's interesting. It's probably heavily skewed to give you those results from history and cookies :P

Granted I searched e621 instead of e621.net, but the results are still the same on incognito.
If I searched with e621.net, it will still be on the second page but moved to the second-to-last result.

I wonder if browser will also affect the results...
I just got a list of /posts results and other websites that they're on
