Topic: Why has some tags changed?

I've been noticing a lot of tags being changed and I'm genuinely confused on why? Especially the tag Pussy is now Vulva and I don't understand why that got changed. I read some forum saying it had sexist implications???? On which I disagree with that but also ig I find it a bit silly. Plus a whole bunch of people don't really know what the word Vulva is imo.

I believe people use Pussy for a woman's private for more like ig a general sense of talking about it and etc. What i mean by that is, if you describe how beautiful a woman's private parts are and you say "her Vulva was beautiful" then the person whom you're talking to is gonna turn their head sideways like a confused doggo. Plus i genuinely think in a general population sense, the word Pussy is a normal and well known word and Vulva is mainly used in a academic way of talking about a woman's private part that is the external part.

Plus I'm sorry if this comes off in a bad tone, it's hard to tell if it is or isn't because it's text and not vocal. Like i said ig I'm confused on why and imo i do think it is a bit silly to say the word Pussy is sexist but that's my opinion and it's fine if y'all disagree or agree with my opinion.

Thank you for answering my question(?) and still like I said, sorry if this comes off in a bad tone. And sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum category.

Should've paid attention in Health class and SexEd.

If they're American, chances are they didn't have a sex ed class (like all of my schools, none of the taught any sex ed)

I took sex ed and i'm american, some schools teach it. I just don't get why the word Pussy is being treated as a end all be all bad word per se

is that a state by state thing? because I've never heard of that not being something that's taught, and the concept of a school sex ed class is definitely something that I've seen brought up in at least a couple of pieces of american media in the 90s/aughts.

although, to be honest even then, it's not like I particularly remember all that much of what was taught in my sex ed classes, especially not any of the terminology that had been used in them.

Imo i think it might be state by state but it could be just a local thing as well. My school taught us about our bodies will change when me and others were in 5th grade and then in 6th we got taught about more stuff about the body and so on. So tbh i think it depends on the location and etc

It's not, it's just being switched to a more neutral word for tagging, similar to how cock and dick were aliased to penis. People can still tag and search pussy, and it will automatically switch to vulva.

Fair point but ig a bit of it that rubs me the wrong way is that some are making it out to be as bad as the n-word or something like that, well i mean not THAT bad but to say that "pussy" is sexist, is a bit silly.

Very sadly it depends on literally every variable
Which state, which city, which school area, which year, which grade
I'm in Wisconsin and our area had a bunch of it in highschool thankfully

Listen to the people who have one, it's their sentiment that it's crude and degrading.

no one said that, no one said anything even analogous to that, no one even gave the reason that "pussy" was sexist. you're attributing made-up positions onto everyone who was involved in this decision.

No??? I've had she friends and heard other women call their vag a "pussy" and etc. It be crude if someone made a crude joke about their pussy and it be degrading if someone said "your pussy is ugly". Tbh i think whoever gives a word negative power will keep that word negative. I didn't hear some woman talk about her pussy in a negative way, she was just talking about her pussy. Same thing when guys talk about their dicks

It's a very reactionary exaggerating response unfortunately, but that's the last I'll say in this topic
