Honestly I think they should go to masculine
It's a more formal word and removes the "man" part from the terminology.
Especially because masculine and feminine are the top words for our culture today when talking about gender spectrums and societal norms.

Masculinity could/should be aliased there, but manly is a different thing

Masculine and feminine were both intended to be body description tags that can apply to any gender, while manly requires male bodied characters and specific traits

(masculine and feminine were never quite fully implemented though, they've just been drifting around for a while)

It feels really hypocritical considering how badly everyone shot me down for saying the exact same thing verbatim about the Bara genre
