Those just look like normal dipstick tails to me. If you're talking about the left most ones, I think that darker triangle looking part is just shadow

Not quite accurate. Upon closer inspection, the tail in this picture is one tail with multiple tails growing on it.

but are there other instances where this tail exists
doesn't seem necessary if this character is the only one with such a tail and in that instance you'd only need to search for jiu
and even if you couldn't remember the characters name it wouldn't take long to find her by searching for fox mythology female solo multi_tail

on the surface level, this can be considered unusual_tail and multi_tail.

branch(ed)_tail is the only thing i could think of for any ideas

Kinda makes me think of the red lizard from rain world
