Topic: Does anyone here use barq?

Posted under Off Topic

This app has been around for a few years now and yet I've barely seen it mentioned anywhere. In fact it almost flew under my radar despite the fact that I've been around the furry community for a while now. It's really weird, because services like that usually get some attention on the internet, good or bad. Whereas this app with a somewhat sizable userbase is like a ghost. What do you guys think of it?

Honestly, I stick to Furaffinity (because nearly all of my friends use it) and Newgrounds (because of its pro-artist effort-encouraging approach). I tried using Cara but it felt too clinical and portfolio-oriented. Since absolutely nobody that I personally know uses barq, I don't really feel tempted to join. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For a second, I thought you were talking about the root beer brand Barq's

from the description that was given in the OP it might as well be.

I downloaded it out of curiosity but never did anything with it. There's a ridiculously large number of furries in my area, apparently.

I used to use barq when I was like.. 18? or something. maybe 19. I recall finding the social aspects of the app a bit awkward. My profile probably still exists there, even if I no longer have access to it.

I guess it was kind of fun seeing how many mice furries there were out there.

yeah but nothing ever happened on it. It was just interesting to see how many furries there were around here

Don't you mean Bang's?

okay, so I decided to actually look up "Bangs root beer". the main thing I'm finding is an article that appears to be either witten by an AI or just very rambly and strange; a full description of a fictional soda made my a fictional company which uses the name of a notable businessman (who died a full two decades before the founding of said company).
