Topic: question about self-posts

really fucking stupid question, if i put something that i made onto e621, what artist tags do i put on it? i'd rather stay anonymous, so if i upload something that i made, do i put it under anonymous, or my e621 username?

edit: also, if i make it my username, is it tied to my e621 account? like, if you go to "Xx cocklover69420 xX's page" does it have a link to my e621 profile along with the things i have made

Anyone can create an artist tag, it's not necessarily tied to anything. You can also create an artist entry, which again anyone can edit - this is where an artist tag would be tied to other resources, including if you want your profile.
It wouldn't be automatic, though.

You can stay anonymous by adding anonymous_artist into the tags for the post.
You don't have to add your own name if you do not want to be credited.
Just don't add any extra signatures or watermarks that could point back to you as the artist since that would invalidate the purpose of staying anonymous.

If you want to be tagged as the artist, simply type in artist:your_name_here (e.g,. artist:xx_cocklover69420_xx) into the tags for the post and you will be credited as such.
You may then go to the tag's wiki or artist wiki to add in any additional information you'd like.
If you want your e621 account to be officially linked to that artist tag, you may check the follow the steps here for artist verification.
