I'm curious why people are saying no
That uno tag is explicitly set to Copyright category referring only to the game

For me, I was just making the joke about how "Uno" could also mean "one" in Spanish or Italian.
So, this implication is akin to implying one to card_game, instead of renaming it to something like uno_(game) and then implying that.

However, looking back at it, I think I'm switching my vote to 👎.
The tag card_game is used for when you can visually see a card game in the post, not just because you know Uno is inherently a card game (that would be Tag What You Know, which goes against Tag What You See; also see topic #29801 for when we completely destroyed video_games).
Uno can simply exist as just the logo or an abstract object that is in no shape or form resembling a card game.

I was assuming other people were also thinking how uno is a generic word in another language but that makes more sense

The percentage of users that would tag uno for one rather than the card game is miniscule, I'd bet

They'd have to both not know about the card game, and assume we tag each individual number, each of which are unlikely

Considering that we have 5 pages of people tagging just one, people tagging "uno" outside of the card game isn't a stretch (if they so happen to speak a language like Spanish)

A lot of the especially older ones I looked at were mistags of "one piece", also I think most of the site's users speak English so comparing an English word to a Spanish word isn't exactly fair

I thumbs’d down because uno is also playable as a video game.

UNO is definitely a card game. So is Strip Poker.

Personally, I don't see an issue here.

I mean, currently we actually don't have poker implied either. we don't have _anything_ implied to card_game, actually.

it's still a card game when played in video game format, though. however, I feel like the brand of Uno can definitely be depicted without the game being shown in any format.

It's actually a little funny that implying Uno is a card game is Tag What You Know because it's lore knowledge

All "general" tags are subject to TWYS while "lore" & "meta" tags tend to be exempt from it.
As for the other tags (i.e., "artist", "character", "copyright"), we try to follow TWYS as best we can but we are allowed certain leeway for outside information (i.e., tagging what you know [TWYK]); e.g., obviously you need to know who the artist is based on outside information.

As a copyright tag, tagging Uno is fine whenever you see the brand's actual logo or even an abstract shape that resembles it on a deck of cards (this would be a little bit TWYK but it is acceptable).
I believe you may even tag copyright tags on fake or parody versions of themselves (e.g., a card that says "Dos" with the same colour layout as Uno).

However, for card_game, it is a general tag and is strictly subject to TWYS. You only tag it if you see a deck of cards used for playing.
If we tag Uno as inherently being represented as a card_game within artworks, then a giant billboard with the Uno logo and no signs of any cards will be considered as a card_game.
