The tag alias #76773 ars_goetia -> the_lesser_key_of_solomon has been rejected.
Reason: A bit of background info: The Lesser Key of Solomon (aka Lemegeton) is a 17th century grimoire that consists of five books.
These books are:
- Ars Goetia - A listing of 72 demons, their names, titles, powers, and their sigils. Far and away the most well known book of the lot, to the point where most people aren't aware there's more to the Lemegeton.
- Ars Theurgia Goetia - A similar listing of spirits for scrying and elemental magic.
- Ars Paulina - Angels, associated with things astrological and Zodiac.
- Ars Almadel - Instructions for an altar to invoke angels of the cardinal directions.
- Ars Notoria, quam Creator Altissimus Salomoni revelavit - Contains prayers supposedly formulated to have mystical effects.
Anyway, we currently have two tags on e621 related to it: ars_goetia and lesser_key_of_solomon, with ars_goetia being more populous.
These tags are currently redundant and inconsistently tagged. Near as I can tell, there are no beings anywhere on e621 that fall under any of the other four books of the Lemegeton. I don't see that changing, frankly.
I suggest that ars_goetia be aliased to lesser_key_of_solomon. This removes a redundant tag and the associated tagging issues, and won't make things incorrect in the unlikely event that someone decides to portray any of the obscure beings from the other books.
EDIT: The tag alias ars_goetia -> lesser_key_of_solomon (forum #451280) has been rejected by @donteven. (Switching to a BUR)
