I looked and couldn't find this being asked anywhere but why can't I use a personal image file for my PFP?

There's not many instances of noise marine art. Actually there only one art tagged as noise marine and it's not my thing.

I would assume to prevent people from using things that would violate uploading guidelines.
If there's one specific image you want to use, you'll have to first upload it. (it doesn't need to be approved before you can Set as Avatar)
Be warned though, if the uploaded image gets rejected after you set it, your profile pic will just say Deleted

Just to clarify, do not purposefully upload any random image you had cropped or found just because you want to use it as your profile avatar.
Anything uploaded here still needs to meet the Uploading Guidelines.

I was not aware anyone could upload personal images on here. All I see is just avatars of uploaded artwork on this site

Well that's typically what the uploaded artwork is, personal images that were uploaded elsewhere and then shared here.

Well I meant images that are not on this site. Like found elsewhere on the internet or of photos the user took
