Topic: Low Quality Submissions

What are some good examples of the "1000 hours in MSPaint" images that would get rejected?

I'd think so but post #5524585 this is approved so I'm missing something, unless it's a much more lax ruling up to the individual Janitor's discretion

If you feel this was approved in error or needs another review, go and flag the post and select "Does not meet the uploading guidelines".

EDIT: I also forgot to mention, please check the post's events history before flagging any posts. Sometimes, someone else has already done that but the flag got declined.

Funnily enough, even though it seems like 7 years old post, it was actually superior copy of 12 years old post #271252. 276x182, 6.14 KB JPG.
Quality standards were not here at the beginning of the site.

So like, you ask example, then you take from that individual post that the lines need to be aliased and colors need to be flat, then you look at post where lines are aliased and colors are flat and point at it like it's the same thing, disregarding basic stuff like chosen style?
Can you please just leave?

W Strikerman for the approval and ignoring the flag.

No reason to make a topic about why content wasn't disapproved though. Phat Brian Griffin is cool, anyway. Pizza Tower type shi

Please don't misunderstand. This is not a rant or complaining post, it was a very genuine question because I did not understand. That is all.

Actually I do owe everyone an apology for the misleading title of this thread.
I only called it Low Quality Submissions because in the Bad Things To Upload examples, that was the bold bullet point name in which the 1000h MSPaint quote was listed.
I didn't mean to imply that the art I showed was low quality.
I'm just struggling to visually define "1000 hour MSPaint"

There is no solid definition. Someone could spend a lot of time on MS Paint and create actual masterpieces.

What was written on the Uploading Guidelines is meant to be a jab that amateur artists that get upset and complain when their "1000 hour MSPaint" masterpieces get deleted for not meeting minimum quality standards (cue "But I've spent so much time on it, so it shouldn't be deleted!" arguments).

I was afraid that was the case and my autistic ass just wouldn't get it
I remember seeing some people be actual savants with Paint which is amazing, so I just assumed that the quotations were sarcastic
I'll keep this in mind and stop trying to eagle-eye images that "look like a Paint creation"

Honestly I think a helpful thing to do is edit the Uploading Guidelines wiki to make that quote like to the actual tag that matches it. That might help prevent other people getting confused
