Topic: Hemipenes used as a catch-all for characters with two penises

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I feel as though the hemipenes tag has been used as a catch-all for characters with two penises, when the term's actual definition and the wiki page for the tag are specifically for the type of penis found in snakes and some lizards.
Most posts with the hemipenes tag do not actually feature reptilian hemipenes, they feature some form of diphallism
What do you guys think?

No, 2_penises is the catch-all term for characters with two penises.
The subtags are diphallism (i.e., any characters with two separate penises that do not resemble hemipenes) and hemipenes (i.e., a specific genitalia type for reptiles).

They're saying hemipenes is wrongly being used as a catch-all term in many posts they see. You're in agreement.

I don't know what a topic like this is supposed to do though. Is it like a call to action?

Oh, in that case, it's a lot of mistags waiting for someone to fix.

If it's a call to action, there's the Sticky Thread about Tag Projects

The main post in the Tag Projects thread hasn't been updated since 2019, so I'm not sure exactly how posting this issue there would help
This was meant to be a pseudo-call to action, but I was also just wondering if it was worth it to pursue this

Just because the thread's OP is no longer active does not mean you can't use it for posting tagging projects.
Posting all of the tagging projects on the dedicated and sticked thread would allow for it to be found in one convenient place by any volunteer taggers.
Posting on a separate thread like this will lead to it being buried by a bunch of other active threads and be forgotten within the week.

If you want to fix the mistags yourself, that's fine. If you are asking for someone else to do it, then use the thread specifically made for it.

I see
I'll put this issue there then, thanks
