nitrous also seems to be used for the same thing.
Nitrous oxide is also used for racing cars as a way to increase the engine's power output. It's where the term "nitro" for a speed boost comes from. If anything, I think the alias should be reversed.
I agree that the alias would likely be better reversed. I usually prefer more colloquial terms, but tagging a container of N20 on a vehicle "laughing gas" would be pretty confusing.
Wait, so there’s no other context laughing gas might be used in?
I’d rather be for reviewing posts tagged as laughing gas and mark them as nitrous where it’s definitely (or contextually) nitrous.
…nah, mistags might not be worth the 10-15 or so posts that are legitimately an unnamed non-nitric laughing gas.
