I think they might actually have gone through legal filings for their characters/the universe they exist in, yes. One moment and I'll give them a poke and make sure one way or the other.

Might be better to ask NMNY if he has any records of them being an exception (and if so, put a note in their wiki pointing to said statement).

Recieved confirmation from commissioner that while applying is under consideration, it has not currently been acted upon.
They also seem to be getting into the art end themselves, so it might get revived as and artist tag in the foreseeable future. Perhaps a nuke and category change is more advisable?

Can we make sure to go through and append the username tag to any of the characters in question who do not already have it before purging the tag, regardless? Most already seem to, but in any remaining cases with names that might wind up needing disambiguation it might be wise to take a moment and take care of that ahead of time. As it stands, with clarity, I have no further opposition.
