Topic: Tag implication: voyeur -> being_watched

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag implication #67293 voyeur -> being_watched is pending approval.

Reason: Wiki says that voyeur is for when the watcher is sexually into it, being_watched is for when they're not. That's not at all intuitive from being_watched's name, though, and sure enough there's over 3k posts with both tags: voyeur being_watched
I don't really see any reason the sexual-specific tag can't imply the nonsexual umbrella, same as watersports implying urine. Nonsexual watching can be searched with being_watched -voyeur.

would it be possible for a character to be a voyeur without the, uhh, voyee being visible?

Yeah, there's definitely a few.

Would a post that was from the perspective of a hidden voyeur camera count for the voyeur tag?

Good question... I'd tag them camera_view + voyeur_pov, but I'm not sure about voyeur, since the voyeur isn't in the picture... I guess a more general question is whether voyeur/being_watched can apply if the "watcher" is the "viewer"? Since the viewer is outside the picture, it can perhaps make things murky with TWYS.

I'd avoid using *_pov tag names for instances that aren't first_person_view.

Yeah, I started second guessing myself after commenting that. Maybe camera_view + hidden_camera is better? Unless hidden_camera is the actual object and we need a separate hidden_camera_view tag? Admittedly, defining "how to know when the camera is hidden" might be tricky. I might be derailing this thread right now...
