Topic: Fox should not imply canine, foxes are vulpine, I think this implication is broken

Title. for some reason red_fox implies canine, which just isn't true. Foxes are vulpines.

Okay my confusion then, also what the hell is the "true Fox" tag? Why did they change vulpine to true Fox? Seems pointless

We prefer common names over scientific names when possible, "true fox" is the common name for vulpes
