Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: gain -> weight_gain

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #76136 gain -> weight_gain has been rejected.

Reason: Almost exclusively tagged when a user doesn't include the underscore in weight_gain - See search: weight gain

All posts not additionally tagged with weight (aliased to weights) have the weight_gain tag

EDIT: The tag alias gain -> weight_gain (forum #445809) has been rejected by @DirtyDerg.

i second the idea of invalidating gain, only mainly due to the fact that gain can mean more than one thing, even if predominantly in this context it's used for weight gain

(alternative use could have it as a meta tag, as "gain" is also for videos with pixilation issues, etc.)

I was more concerned about muscle_gain (such as "making gains"), but that does not seem to be tagged anywhere.

I want an apology for having me look at the Gain tag to see what it was consisting of

I'll rather it be changed to the invalid category rather than for it to be aliased

If there are multiple types of gain tags (that are not related to weight_gain), then sure.
If there aren't any, there is no use keeping it around as an invalid/disambiguation tag.
