I've noticed while browsing today that comments are no longer in chronological order like they used to be. They also aren't in order of score, which is the next most logical way to arrange them. I'm wondering if this is a glitch or a feature, and if it's a feature then I posit that it be reversed because it's rather confusing.

What is the "Order" set under your Search Options?

Yeah, I just noticed that a minute ago and came to see if it was just me. They seem to be around the right placement chronologically. Almost like it's reading a bunch of comments from, say "5 years ago", and randomly switching those ones around

I noticed something similar just earlier, unfortunately I don't remember what post. I saw a comment quoting/replying to the comment after it, but figured it may have just been a weird comment edit someone made.

this comment was made before my comment on this post but it's displayed at the very bottom of the list for some reason, every other one is in order, it dosn't seem to be edited.

Most posts i'm visiting, the order comments appear on the page are something like

"Around 10 months ago"
"Over 8 months ago"
then back to "11 months ago", all in that exact order. Except not in that exact order cause it seems to be random-ish as far as I can tell. Even on posts without my own comments on it, that doesn't seem to affect it.

As for the order setting in search options, i have no idea what you're talking about. I just looked through the Settings menu and found no such thing, maybe I overlooked it v('-')v

Seen some from 7 years ago, then from 6 years ago, and then 7 years ago again, so it's not even some buggy form of how a computer can read chronologal order wrong.
It's not alphabetical based on username or comments either...
I have absolutely no idea what this order is.
Also, chronological order is the default, so I doubt it's something in settings, even if there is such a feature in there at all.

Known issue, being fixed.
