I tried (obviously these have placeholder IDs):

and it showed the preview but said they were sample URLs

Is there any way to fix this, or is there just no way to upload X/Twitter images using links?

Swap name=large for name=orig

That will make sure that the original size gets uploaded.

I checked before posting, but I couldn't find what specific formatting to put! (I don't think it had anything about replacing the image size with "orig")
