This is just for fun
This is actually a real scenario where I live.
You go to a grocery store.
They have an aisle labelled "Snacks" and another aisle labelled "Crackers"
Which aisle are the Cheez-It's in and why?

After looking at Cheez-Its I want to say the snack aisle. The snack aisle is probably reserved for chocolate and other more sugary stuff though.
I'm going to go with the crackers aisle but it doesn't feel like they really belong there either
Cheeze-Its are marketed as crackers IIRC, so probably the crackers aisle? Do you know where they are in the store, OP?
Crackers. Because while cheez-its are definitely a snack food, snack crackers in general fit more in the cracker section than snacks for the same reason prilosa gave. Some snack crackers are sort of in-between a true snack and a proper cracker too. Just cleaner to throw them in with all the crackers

Yeah, it's actually a common practice in all grocery stores (and Wal-Marts) where I live and they're always in the Crackers aisle

Surprisingly the chocolates and sugary stuff get yet another aisle of their own most of the time, sometimes just labelled Candy
I would argue Cheeze-it’s are snacks because one typically eats them on their own. Unlike crackers which are typically served with meat, cheese, hummus, etc depending on the type of cracker.
They're definitely both.
