Is there any trick to bypassing the likely button mashing experience when uploading from a Twitter link, or is that impossible? Uploading from Twitter links work fine on some other image boards.

RIP. That's more annoying than what it used to be.

If you're on windows, it's not actually that difficult, copy the image URL (which you already have done if you are having this issue), click the upload file button on the upload page, paste the URL into the "File Name" field in the file explorer. Windows will download the file to temporary storage to use in forms. No need to actually go manually download the image, it's just a couple extra clicks.

A lot of people don't, because it doesn't make much sense, but you've been able to do this for a long time, and now you know!

I'm guessing it's a holdover from when Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer were united in the Windows 98 days.
