Topic: Your favourite fighter jets and missiles?

Posted under Off Topic

Asking cuz I'm so bored rn.

Me? My favourite jet would be the F-22 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ and the SU-57 πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί, I mean damn, both are sleek-lookin', technologically advanced, and stealthy.

For missiles, I'm gonna have to go with the S-300V SAM system, I mean the launch sequence just looks so fuckin' badass. And one more, the retired MX Peacekeeper, same reason as the S-300V. I just really like cold launches in general, where the missile plops out of its canister/silo then lights up its engine/motor.

All that said, what about you guys? What are your favourites?

For me it'd be the EE/BAC Lightning, Gloster Javelin and De Havilland Sea Vixen.

The Lightning was Britain's first, and last all-british mach 2 capable interceptor. The design concepts behind it were, and still are very unique to it, and it has been known to achieve some incredible feats in training exercises with america. It's most signature trait was its ability to climb straight upwards after takeoff. It was nicknamed the "Frightening", and described as two engines with a plane strapped to them.

My favourite missile is the MBDA Meteor for it's sheer capability. It's hard to find accurate information on it, but i regard it as one of the best air to air missiles in existence.

So basically an air-breathing rocket? Damn, just damn.

Ah, the Meteor BVRAAM, good choice, quite speedy.
