You need to provide some proof of the character owner transferring the rights to you.
Otherwise, anybody can literally claim any character they like with the reason being "Source: trust me bro".

I'll be honest, that looks pretty terrible as if someone tried to badly photoshop a DM screenshot to back their point.

For future reference, an official post or comment from the character owner announcing the transferal of the character to you would make for better evidence.
Such as them acknowledging your Bluesky post with a repost from their own official Bluesky account.
