Topic: Where does "MAP" content cross into CoC 4.2 transgression?

I stumbled onto an image tagged with pedophilia pride colors tonight. Some of the images under that tag are clearly rejecting the ersatz pride flag, but on several images, some of the comments tend towards "teehee, this one slipped under the radar".

Where does e621 draw the line on this one?

People are allowed to post images containing such content for archival purposes. Uploading an image is not inherently considered an endorsement of the content. However, someone in the comments agreeing with the message of a pro-pedophilia image is usually breaking site rules.

There is nuance though. Artists that have a history of endorsing and supporting real molestation have been made dnp content by staff.

We separate the art from the artist unless the artist's actions are damaging or putting the site in danger

The CoC broadly does not apply to posts, save for a few rules explicitly aimed at posts

It's best to not even mention it in the comments, don't risk getting accidentally swept up as it is almost always an immediate permanent ban with little to no chance of appeal

The physical appearance of any colours and/or flags by themselves are not grounds for deletion, no matter how divisive they may be.
The message behind the image may be judged on a case-by-case basis under the National, Racial, or Ethnic Hatred rule, especially it is clearly used to spread hateful or harmful ideologies.

Comments under posts are still bound by the CoC, such as the Illegal Activities or Content and Extreme Activities or Content rules.
Discussing and/or advocating for committing anything illegal in real-life is still against the rules.

I'm someone who generally tries to separate fiction from reality, but some of those posts and comments... worry me.

While we don't take action on art, for the most part, the rules apply to comments, and comments that contain messages of engaging in, or a desire to partake in will have action taken against them, so please report them if you see them.
