Anyways back to the original topic —
*_inflation is stuck between * being the thing that is used to inflate vs * being the thing that's inflated. That's not very great, since that's what got *_penetration in trouble in the first place.

balls expansion which is a superset of ball/s inflation (actually to correct myself, depending on how these two AIBURs pan out, that might not be the case), hints by the name that to follow the trend it should be balls inflation (thus supporting the proposed alias) (though the wiki states otherwise).

Overall this is just a pretty messy situation all around

Theres the hidden choice of balls inflation being for inflating balls, and ball inflation being for being inflated by balls

I see (after making a spreadsheet to try to decipher this). balls_* is for where the balls are located or what they're touching, and ball_* is used otherwise. balls_expansion and balls_blush are random exceptions.

*inflation* is technically ambiguous, as you said, though since it has to be a body part that gets inflated, confusion is generally unlikely. That is, unless we ever have posts where someone get inflated with balls in the toy sense... then that would get confusing for this one specific tag. I don't think that's super likely though.
