Topic: Contributor Question

Now that we're keeping track of things like modelers and voice actors, do they have the right to submit an "Avoid Posting" request?

I know of at least one person who isn't comfortable that their voice lines in a video game were sampled for an NSFW animation. I am not speaking on their behalf, nor do I have a line of communication to them, I just know they've stated their opinion, and am curious about the site's policy if they decided to make a request.

And while I'm on the topic, I also have to wonder if the rules for "no works from underage artists" also apply to situations like if a TV show or video game used an underage voice actor for a furry character. With this one I don't know of any specific instances, but we should probably establish a "what to do just in case that happens".

TL:DR; Are contributors treated like artists in terms of what is and isn't allowed?

Eh, they're already enforcing dnp for characters from underage owners (delreason:*underage*character*), so probably yeah, those are likely to be taken down. As for getting an avoid posting/cdnp in general, I think e6 would extend the same courtesy afforded to character owners (takedowns yes, cdnp no)

DNP/CDNP are still artist only, that hasn't changed
Takedowns are for any copyright holder, that also hasn't changed

So if a voice actor files a takedown request for their voice being used in a context they object to, that request would not be honored?

Because, again, I do know a case where this would be likely if the VA was aware of actions they could take. (But I'm not a tattletale.)

Don't know where you got that impression, but I'd assume VAs share the same rights and prohibitions as character owners.

They get to issue takedowns for the use of their voice/characters, but do not get the privilege to be placed on the DNP list.
In addition, all instances of underaged contributors will be deleted automatically when reported.
