avians don't have a consistent type of penis.

I don't think most species even have a penis, actually.

What does an "avian penis" look like? AFAIK, different avians have different penises, so there'd be little consistency in the results, unlike canine_penis or cervine_penis. Not to mention people who would tag avian_penis on any penis an avian happens to be drawn with, regardless if it's a penis some kind of avian would actually have. It seems like it'd be akin to mammalian_penis or marine_penis or scalie_penis, too broad to be useful.

Some birds with penises like ducks would fall under spiral penis.

I didn't know that! Do all anatids have spiral penises? If so then that tag should imply spiral penis.

If you're looking for a specific type like duck_penis or ostrich_penis there are tags for that. Most birds don't have penises so the tag was being applied to speculative/fantasy penises attached to birds. A good deal of them fell under tapered_penis, so if that's the shape you're looking for, use tapered_penis avian.

I don't know enough about them to say for sure. The spiral seems to not always be as exaggerated in all species, if present at all. Plus if the base is visible, but the rest is penetrated the spiral might not be visible.
