Topic: Avian_penis tag is aliased to penis tag

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

It has been like this for a pretty long time and the two obviously don't mean the same thing. This should be corrected as simply searching for "avian" and "penis" doesn't constitute the same results and as such it is impossible to search for it accurately.

avians don't have a consistent type of penis.

I don't think most species even have a penis, actually.

What does an "avian penis" look like? AFAIK, different avians have different penises, so there'd be little consistency in the results, unlike canine_penis or cervine_penis. Not to mention people who would tag avian_penis on any penis an avian happens to be drawn with, regardless if it's a penis some kind of avian would actually have. It seems like it'd be akin to mammalian_penis or marine_penis or scalie_penis, too broad to be useful.

I didn't know that! Do all anatids have spiral penises? If so then that tag should imply spiral penis.

I don't know enough about them to say for sure. The spiral seems to not always be as exaggerated in all species, if present at all. Plus if the base is visible, but the rest is penetrated the spiral might not be visible.
