Topic: "[DELETION] Does not meet minimum quality standards. (Artistic)" For Rawpotato

Posted under General

Good day, I guess this is the right forum section to make this post, I have the following issue that I think is incorrect
What happens is that the artist Rawpotato has some public videos of his furaffinity that I have tried to upload but I see that it does not let me because it says Post is a duplicate of when I check both publications
Here: (This one i tried to post it before) Post 1 and here Post 2

both are deleted with the same justification, [DELETION] Does not meet minimum quality standards. (Artistic) which in my opinion is something wrong, I think they are videos of excellent 3D quality, they should be in e621, of pure luck I found this artist specifically in e621, besides for archive purposes they should be uploaded on this page, they are very good.

I'd tend to agree with the comments on those posts mentioning that the models' geometry clipping through each other, the environment, and themselves; it's pretty distracting. I mean, that bedroom scene has the characters' tits clipping almost constantly.

No, I have to agree with the deleting staffmembers, for the very reason dba afish gives above. They're almost good, but the clipping is awful, especially in #1, and pushes them into not acceptable territory. Clipping is the effect of a CG model going through another or itself instead of acting like solid objects that can't go through things, and it's generally considered a thing to avoid in CG as it ruins the audience's immersion. Example #1 shows this badly. The characters should look like they're pressed against each other, with things like their breasts squishing against each other or their hands going into their thighs further than plush fur can account for. Instead, they look like two characters merged together, with no model physics separating and defining them.

E621 is an archive, yes, but it's a curated archive. Not only are we after a specific genre of art, but also a specific quality. Also, if you'd like to dispute the deletion of a post, it's best to politely DMail the deleting Janitor (except Mairo) or Admin and make your case. At the very least, they'll explain why it was deleted. However, in #2's case, it was deleted by Millcore, who has retired from staff, so you'd need to appeal directly to Head Admin NotMeNotYou. (The same goes for Mairo, by his request, if you ever run across a post he's deleted.)
