Topic: Make Synths great again

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Currently [Synth] tag is invalid, let's fix that!
We need to change Synth tag fron Invalid to Species!

Every artists who drawing Synths/Synthets/Synthetic creature - drawing Synths, a Synthetic species (not organic).
If Artist drawing Synth from Fallout [Synth_(Fallout)] - he draw a Synth.
If Artist drawing vader san Synth [synth_(vader-san)] - he drawing a Synth.

Synth - It's a basical/general "name" for all Synthetic creature.
I want to give an example...In animal world we have a Maned Wolf, Grey Wolf and Other Wolves...but they are all Wolves...and we using this tag for every Wolves.

We need general tag for all synthetic creature...because if user want to find "Just art with Synthetic creature" he can search for [Synth] tag, and he can see every arts with Synthetic creature.
If user want to find "special synthetic species" - user can use more accurate tags, like [Synth_vader san] , [Synth_Fallout] and more of that.
_____________________________________________________
I tried to Request implication and Request alias...but it don't working because "Error: Consequent tag must not be aliased to another tag" and "Error: A tag alias for synth already exists"

How we can fix that ?

The term synth is used for multiple completely unrelated distinct fictional species, and outside of those exceptions everyone uses it differently. In general it's used just as synonym for android. Meanwhile different species of wolves are not in fact completely unrelated wildly distinct animals, and the word wolf is not a subjective term where everyone gets to make up their own definition.

EDIT: Just in case you didn't read everybody's response to your tag proposal the first time around on topic #32383 when it was first pitched.

It is not a mistake. Synth is invalid for a reason.
That very reason is what you have already written down yourself, in that it is used by everybody to mean whatever they want.

If you had taken a look at the disambiguation page or at the number of tags named synth_*, you would see that it is a widely used name with a bunch of different uses (e.g., artist tag, character tag, species tag, etc.).

I want to give an example...In animal world we have a Maned Wolf, Grey Wolf and Other Wolves...but they are all Wolves...and we using this tag for every Wolves.

The tag wolf is a relatively consistent tag with the various subspecies being essentially part of the same family/umbrella tag.

You could argue that it should get the same treatment as Synth's disambiguation, but 9/10 times, they all refer to wolves anyway.
On the other hand, Synth could mean your generic synthetic creature, any number of fictional species that bear no similarities between one another, random character's names, or even an artist's name.

That is essentially just android.

That is because synth is aliased to synth_(disambiguation). You can't pluck it out of there without unlinking/unaliasing it first, this would require you to submit it through a special Bulk Update Request (BUR) form.

Don't. Don't use e6 as your personal drawing board.
You could have achieved the same thing by uploading that picture onto Imgur or Discord instead.

Updated

Maned_wolf doesn't imply wolf because they're not grey wolves or an adjacent/closely related species.
Of course, whether or not they should imply wolf or if wolf is even a valid tag is a different discussion entirely.
